Taken on an epic Sunday morning in early June at 4.56am. The spiky pink clouds arching above the pond were lit up for just a short time, which I was lucky enough to capture. The high cloud thickened as the sun rose, the mist billowed up and everything became soft and muted, resembling the conditions of a morning in autumn, rather than high summer.
Taken on a beautiful misty morning in July, I love how the Alder Tree frames the island so perfectly.
A cloudless but very misty July sunrise. Conditions like this are infrequent in the summer months so this particular morning was a rare treat! I love the beautiful simplicity of the sky’s blueness, and the contrasting white, ethereal fogginess that billows up from the water.
A beautiful foggy July sunrise. Once the sun popped over the horizon it was very bright, with no cloud to soften it’s rays. The branch of this Alder Tree did a brilliant job of masking my camera lens from the direct sunlight, and I love the miniature sun stars that are scattered in the small gaps between the leaves.
